With an economics degree from College of the Holy Cross, Kevin Colvin serves as a director in the global market sales and trading division at Cantor Fitzgerald in New York City. Beyond his day-to-day activities at the firm, Kevin Colvin maintains affiliations with professional organizations such as the Structured Finance Industry Group (SFIG).

Dedicated to promoting and strengthening the securitization market, SFIG oversees a variety of programs and events designed to educate members, regulators, and policymakers about securitization and structured finance. Through its charitable arm, the SFIG Foundation, the organization also works to promote youth education for young people in underserved communities.
Currently, the SFIG Foundation is partnering with Mentor Foundation USA and Scholarship America to help prepare students for academic and professional pursuits beyond high school. Through the partnership, the Foundation provides scholarship funding for high school students who have completed Mentor Foundation USA’s Career Mentoring or Youth Ambassadors programs. The group also connects scholarship winners with SFIG’s network of organizations and professionals.
To support its work, the SFIG Foundation holds a variety of events, including the annual SFIG Industry Dinner. In 2017, approximately 400 structured finance professionals and nearly three dozen sponsors took part in the event at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The next dinner will also be held at The Plaza on January 18, 2018. For more information about the event or the SFIG Foundation, visit www.sfigfoundation.org.
